Tummy Time with a PT

Is Tummy Time a Daily Struggle?

Transform your baby’s tears into smiles with tried and true pediatric PT strategies for stress-free floor play, all in the comfort of your own home!

Introducing My Online Course:
Tummy Time with a PT

The Modules: Exactly What We Will Cover

Module 1: Introduction

Learn about tummy time timings and what to expect from this course.

Module 2: Pre-Tummy Time Stretches

We don't just plop your baby on their belly and hope for the best. You will learn a sequence of 12 gentle stretches designed to ease body tension and unlock the exact mobility your baby needs to lift their head comfortably and enjoy floor play without the struggle.

Module 3:Eye Tracking & Reaching

Before a baby ever rolls their body, they roll their eyes. Visual tracking is actually your baby’s very first experience with rotational movement, serving as the neurological foundation for total-body mobility and communication. Practicing eye tracking before tummy time centers their nervous system and primes them for floor play.

Module 4: Rolling Facilitation

Learn how to guide your baby through their very first transitional movement. You’ll discover how rolling unlocks full-body mobility, teaches essential weight shifting, and gives your baby the ultimate "escape route" to turn over independently when they need a break.

Module 5: Correct Tummy Time Posture

When it comes to tummy time, positioning is everything. If a baby’s alignment is off, floor play becomes significantly more exhausting and frustrating. In this module, we break down what correct tummy time posture looks like, how to prevent asymmetry, and how to help your baby transition from their elbows to extended arms.

Module 6: Supporting Your Baby's Head During Tummy Time

Holding that heavy head up against gravity is the ultimate workout for a young baby. When their neck muscles fatigue, they often give up and face-plant into the floor. In this module, you will learn the hands-on pediatric PT handling technique designed to give your baby the exact touch of support they need to sustain tummy time without the struggle.

Module 7: Facilitating Play During Tummy Time

You will walk away knowing exactly how to physically support your baby during play so they can enjoy their toys today while building the strength to play completely independently tomorrow.

Module 8: Facilitating Play During Tummy Time

Endurance is built on positive repetition, not exhaustion. By spreading sessions throughout the day and mixing active toy tracking with strategic propped breaks, you help your baby build real physical stamina completely tear-free.

Module 9: Tummy Time on the Exercise Ball

For babies 3 months and up who resist the floor, the combination of reduced gravity, motion, and direct face-to-face contact with you makes floor play feel like a fun, interactive game rather than a chore.

Module 10: Course Wrap-Up

If your baby starts to fuss, you don't have to give up, you just need to pivot! Use these pediatric PT-approved strategies to troubleshoot the tears and turn things around.1 LessonCourse Wrap-Up

Module 11: PT-Approved Tummy Time Toys

List of my favorite toys for tummy time!

Does this sound familiar?

  • The second you flip your baby onto their belly, the countdown to a meltdown begins.

  • You feel a wave of guilt every time you skip a session because you just can’t bear the crying.

  • Your baby face-plants, struggles to lift their head, or constantly leans and collapses to one preferred side.

  • You’ve tried all the toys, but nothing seems to distract them from the struggle.
