Now that the weather is finally nice, it’s time to take therapy outside! You don’t need fancy equipment to work on motor skills; your local park or backyard is a goldmine.
The Grass Challenge: Walking barefoot on grass is one of the best ways to build ankle stability and sensory processing. The uneven surface forces those tiny foot muscles to work harder than they do on a flat hardwood floor.
Park Bench Cruising: A park bench is the perfect height for a baby practicing "pull-to-stands" or cruising. It’s sturdy, textured, and gives them a great view!
The Nature "Pincer" Grasp: Encourage your little one to pick up smooth stones, dandelion heads, or small twigs. This builds the fine motor strength they’ll eventually need for holding a pencil.
